Social Interest Solutions to Become Lead Organization to Direct MedStart Program
Shared Vision for Leveraging Technology to Foster Greater Access to Safer, More Effective, and Less Costly Healthcare Propels Alliance
Social Interest Solutions (SIS), a mission-driven, nonprofit organization dedicated to leveraging technology innovation and influencing policy to improve consumers’ access to eligible health and social services, today announced that effective immediately Social Interest Solutions will direct MedStart program activities. The MedStart program, formerly part of the Sacramento Area Regional Technology Alliance, was established to develop a thriving medical/bioscience industry in the greater Sacramento area by fostering, attracting and promoting medical and healthcare organizations, ultimately resulting in safer, more effective, less costly and more accessible medicine and healthcare for the region and the nation.
“The synergy between MedStart and Social Interest Solutions made this a logical alliance,” said Robert Groth, Director of Business Development at Social Interest Solutions. “We look forward maintaining and advancing MedStart’s position as the hub for building a strong network of resources and a repository of information and expertise for the growing community of medical and healthcare organizations in the greater Sacramento region. We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with the 146 MedStart members in the region representing technology companies, health organizations, and universities.”
Matt Phillips, the current director of the MedStart program, has joined Social Interest Solutions and will continue managing MedStart initiatives.
